How much does a 3D scan cost?

It’s the first thing most people want to know, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you’re scanning and what you need out of it. But that’s not very helpful on its own, so here’s a straight guide to what a 3D scan actually costs — and what changes the price.

The short answer

For a straightforward job — a small property such as a 2-bed flat with a photorealistic 3D scan, a 3D interactive digital twin and a cinematic fly-by video — GB3D scans start from around £250. Larger sites, commercial buildings and survey-grade deliverables cost more, because there’s more to capture and more to produce. Every project is quoted up front, so there are no surprises.

What changes the price

A few things move the number up or down:

Size and complexity. A one-bed flat is quick; a multi-storey house, a village street or a 100,000+ sq ft warehouse takes longer to capture and process.
Indoors, outdoors, or both. Full interior and exterior captures take more time on site.
Level of detail. Marketing-quality visuals and survey-grade, millimetre-accurate measurements are different jobs.
What you want out of it. A video fly-through is one thing; add measured floor plans, a CAD-ready point cloud, or a full digital twin and there’s more work involved.
Location and access. Travel and any access arrangements (heights, restricted areas) factor in.
Turnaround. A standard turnaround is included; a rush job can be arranged.
